SS&TP Company Leadership Luncheon
ATA recently hosted the SS&TP Company Leadership Luncheon for companies and organizations in the Park. This was an opportunity for ATA, a precision measurement, sensing, and controls company that provides services and products to government and commercial customers, to present some of their projects and capabilities. In addition, Park leaders were able to network with each other and announce new company updates and activities. More info at

AOT Gives Tour to Sandia
Advanced Optical Technologies (AOT) recently gave a tour of their SS&TP lab to a few Sandia National Laboratories business development and technical team members. Brian Hoover, AOT Chief Scientist and Technology Officer, explained current projects utilizing AOT’s laser polarimeters, as well as extended-range atomicforce microscope (AFM) imaging for various applications, and next generation sensors and optical subsystem development in AOT’s 54’ laser range. QC Group Expands Service
QC Group has expanded its dimensional inspection and reverse engineering service offerings to also include non-destructive testing through its sister companies, NDT Labs and Infinium NDE. This expansion gives customers the ability to advance their own operations quickly and cost efficiently. STEM Day at Sandia
Students from the Technology Leadership High School (TLHS), located in the SS&TP, recently participated in STEM Day at Sandia along with nearly 100 other middle and high school girls and boys from across Albuquerque. The students learned about the STEM fields and how they can be a part of this growing industry. This annual event introduces students who are traditionally underrepresented in STEM fields to careers and role models through engaging, hands-on sessions that combine instruction and mentorship. Entrepreneur Exploration
An Entrepreneur Exploration Roundtable discussion was recently held at the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History. A panel of four startup founders discussed their intense learning experiences from day one as CEO of their companies to the present day. Participants learned about raising capital, selecting co-founders, building brands, leveraging intellectual property, and scaling the enterprise. There were 36 entrepreneurs and community leaders as well as 23 Sandians that attended the event.
