EMCORE Signs New Contract – The company recently announced that it has entered into a new long-term supply agreement with Space Systems/Loral, LLC (SSL) to manufacture and deliver high-efficiency, multi-junction solar cells for SSL’s satellite programs. This new contract follows several other earlier supply agreements between SSL and EMCORE. The solar cells will be designed and produced at EMCORE’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in the SS&TP; Park Companies Receive Awards– Applied Technology Associates (ATA), EMCORE, and TEAM Technologies were honored as award recipients at the New Mexico Flying 40 on June 25th. The annual awards celebration recognizes the fastest-growing technology companies in the state. ATA employs 342 people and had revenues of $53.9M in 2013. EMCORE employs a total of 545 people and had revenues of $168M in 2013. TEAM Technologies employs 70 people and had revenues of $10.4M in 2013; Sandia Science & Technology Park Company Open House – The SS&TP recently hosted a Company Open House at the Steve Schiff Auditorium to showcase the services and capabilities of Park companies and organizations to representatives from Sandia National Laboratories, Air Force Research Laboratory, and local business leaders. The event provided an opportunity to initiate new partnerships and strengthen existing ones. The Open House drew over 100 attendees and included 14 Park companies and organizations. The event was sponsored by Sandia Laboratory Federal Credit Union.
