ATA Receives Flying 40 Award – The company was honored as one of New Mexico’s top-performing, technology companies at the Flying 40 awards ceremony. The annual New Mexico Flying 40 program recognizes and ranks the state’s high-tech growth leaders. This year’s baseball-themed event was held at Albuquerque’s Isotopes Park. Selected as one of the top 5 companies, ATA employs nearly 240 people and had revenues of $47 million in 2014.
SS&TP CEO Todd Bisio is On the Move – Todd recently announced that he will be stepping down as CEO of Albuquerque’s Qynergy, but will be leading entrepreneurial efforts in the community. He’s transitioning to be the Vice President of Strategic Development for Qynergy so he can focus on merging the technology part of Qynergy with the exciting entrepreneurial activities taking place downtown. Longtime Vice President of Technology, Viswanath “Wish” Krishnamoorthy, will be stepping in as CEO. This move will allow the duo to continue to mentor and help Sandia, SS&TP, and ABQid companies.

Center for Commercialization and Collaboration (C3) News – Sandia National Labs hosted an Entrepreneurial Roundtable at C3, featuring ABQid, a new business accelerator program designed to help entrepreneurs in Albuquerque with the initial needs of a startup. ABQid facilitated a discussion around the Lean Startup methodology and also provided an overview of the ABQid Accelerator Program. The roundtable attracted over forty principal investigators from Sandia. The Entrepreneurial Roundtable is part of the new Entrepreneurial Exploration & Training program at C3.
