GAITS and PPC Merge – GAITS and PPC successfully completed a merger as of May 1st. GAITS now makes up the National Security Solutions (NSS) Division of PPC and will no longer exist as a separate entity. All GAITS personnel have been converted to PPC employees and will continue to support existing GAITS’ contracts. PPC has chosen to continue its operations in the SS&TP. Learn more about PPC at www.ppc.com. New SS&TP Organization – Tech Leadership High School (TLHS), a free and public charter high school, recently leased space in the SS&TP. The school was founded in 2015 with the support of industry and community partners from across Albuquerque. Their curriculum was designed with valuable input from the technology, startup, and entrepreneurial communities. Projects and performance assessments will be guided by what graduates need to demonstrate in order to be successful in these fields. All TLHS students will have access to internships and career exploration opportunities. TLHS is excited to work closely with companies and organizations in the Park. Classes are expected to begin in August. Company Leadership Luncheon – MOOG, Inc. hosted the latest Company Leadership Luncheon for companies and organizations in the SS&TP. The luncheon allowed Park leaders to network, announce updates, and learn more about Moog, Inc. It also included a tour and demonstration of MOOG’s shock test and motion hexapod products in their laboratory. Center for Collaboration and Commercialization (C3) – JUNE 2015 Park Post ElectronicSandia launched its first Entrepreneur Office Hours at C3. The intent is to offer Sandia PIs an opportunity to commercialize their technologies while remaining at the labs. Additionally, the PIs may attend to explore Sandia’s Entrepreneurial Separation to Transfer Technology (ESTT) program. These Entrepreneur Office Hours will be regularly scheduled for PIs who want to discuss an idea or invention with expert mentors from the local entrepreneurial community.
