KPC is a non-profit begun after members were able to get Kirtland Air Force Base off the list during the 1995 Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) round. Current KPC membership includes both small, local businesses and large corporations with a shared goal to “support, preserve, and grow” the Kirtland National Security Complex. Total economic impact of the base is $7.5 billion annually.
