PNM’s Sandia Energy Battery Storage System facility, located on a 5.3-acre site owned by PNM within the SS&TP, is completed and operational. The ESS facility features a 60 megawatt, 4-hour resource interconnected with the Sandia Substation. It consists of 72 lithium-ion battery containers, addressing the energy needs for the southeast quadrant of Albuquerque, Sandia, and the SS&TP.
